A group of experienced professionalsA-1 Voice & Data is one of the original interconnects in Houston. A-1 Voice & Data was established in 1983 after AT&T was forced to divest itself of all involvement with the regional Bell companies. Our focus in the beginning was to assist clients in choosing their best option for their telecommunications services. While technology has advanced and changed over the years our core values and services have continued to keep pace.
In August 2017, A-1 Voice & Data acquired The Telephone Lady, a 30 year old company. A-1 Voice & Data continues to save our customers money but also to provide added value by offering more than just phone system installation and service. We represent many manufactures of phone systems as we assist in customizing and finding a system that meets our clients' needs.
A-1 Voice & Data possesses the ability to design and implement structured wiring which is the backbone of any network. A-1 Voice & Data provides free internet service provider consulting to assist the client in getting the correct service they need at the best prices available.

Greg Tallet
FounderFounded the company in 1983 as A-1 Budget Telephone with the focus on saving clients money on their telecommunications hardware and services. As time progressed and technology advanced into networks with structured wiring, our company’s name changed to better reflect the services we offer to A-1 Voice & Data. Greg continues to work in the field and through modern technology to assist clients save money and better utilize the dollars allocated towards their technology services.
Kim Simmons
Co-FounderKim began her career with A-1 Voice & Data in 1991. Kim is well versed in every aspect of the telecommunication industry. Kim has become expert on all aspects of phone systems and possesses the ability to communicate with clients to determine their specific goals. Kim works hand-in-hand with clients and A-1 Voice & Data's Technicians from start to finish on projects to ensure the process is completed on schedule and is effortless for our clients.
